IEMAI 3D Printed GF-PEEK

PEEK, a high performance engineering thermoplastic, is similar to PPS (PolyPhenylene Sulfide) in terms of chemical and water resistance but operates at higher temperatures.

PEEK is a high-performance thermoplastic that resists creep and is hardy, robust, rigid, and flexible. Along with good resistance to abrasion and dynamic fatigue, it offers outstanding thermal, chemical, and hydrolysis resistance. PEEK is a good substitute for fluoropolymers in harsh settings because of its steady electrical qualities and ability to operate at high continuous temperatures (480o F) without permanently losing its properties. PEEK has also demonstrated extremely low levels of hazardous gas and smoke emissions when exposed to flame. Unfilled, glass-filled, carbon-filled, and bearing grade (Ketron HPV) PEEK are all available.

  • Excellent resistance to measuring substances and a high creep resistance
  • Very good machinability, inherent flame retardant and resistant to high energy radiation
  • Excellent sliding and friction properties
  • Applied in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, vacuum technology, aerospace engineering etc.

Of all the PEEK grades, the general purpose grade has the highest elongation and toughness and is unreinforced. The expansion rate of PEEK is greatly decreased and its flexural modulus is increased by the insertion of glass fibers. Particularly at temperatures above 300°F (150°C), this grade is appropriate for structural applications that call for enhanced strength, stiffness, or stability. The color of glass-filled PEEK is light brown (tan).
