IEMAI 3D Printed PPSU

Our PPSU sulfone polymers. It is made of amorphous thermoplastic resins, which have good resistance to environmental stress cracking, great hydrolytic stability, high strength, and toughness.

Heat Resistance

High heat deflection temperatures (HDT) and exceptional dimensional stability are characteristics of sulfone polymers. The only thermoplastics that can maintain transparency at service temperatures of up to 204°C (400°F) are these ones. The resins do not deteriorate or turn discolored even after prolonged exposure.

Hydrolytic Stability

Because water is so common and so damaging to many polymers, hydrolytic resilience is particularly important. With PPSU displaying outstanding performance, sulfone polymers offer excellent hydrolysis resistance. PPSU provides enduring performance in hot water and steam, even under autoclave pressures, when paired with excellent heat resistance.

Chemical Resistance

Many substances, such as aqueous systems, caustics, inorganic acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, detergents and soaps, and certain alcohols are chemically resistant to sulfone polymers well.

Based on their polymeric structure and the inclusion of additions like glass, sulfone polymers show variable degrees of chemical resistance. The reagent, reagent concentration, temperature, exposure time, and if the polymer is under stress are other variables that affect chemical resistance.

PPSU resins can be treated using the usual techniques for blow molding, extrusion, and injection molding. Shapes can be machined for prototype testing, and traditional thermoforming equipment can be used to make film and sheets.
