Special Studio is an original design and local manufacturing brand specializing in homeware products made from recycled plastics. Driven by circular economy principles, the brand uses innovative processes to transform post-consumer plastic waste into durable home goods that combine contemporary aesthetics with timeless quality.

The brand’s entire product line is made from 100% recycled plastics (primarily recycled PLA and PETG), with local production and 50% of raw materials sourced from local recycling streams. Special Studio has also established an internal take-back system that supports product return and reprocessing, enabling continuous material circulation.

Initially focused on small home accessories, Special Studio officially expanded into the commercial product sector in 2025, launching its first commercial series. The debut product, the Fluted Display Table, as well as a branded reception desk co-created with fashion brand Wally, were both fully custom-produced using the FAST-JET-1500.

During implementation, the brand faced several core challenges:

  • Poor compatibility of recycled plastic feedstocks — standard equipment cannot print them stably.
  • Furniture items require large build volumes and high-precision forming — small-format printers are insufficient.
  • Difficulty achieving batch production efficiency while balancing design quality and manufacturing costs.

To address these core needs, IEMAI PELLET 3D PRINTER FAST-JET-1500 provides a precise breakthrough, offering an all-in-one production solution for eco-friendly furniture design.

  • Optimized for recycled materials — zero-barrier sustainable production
Directly prints with granulated post-consumer plastic waste — no need to reprocess into filament. Significantly reduces the cost of processing recycled materials, with minimal waste and low energy consumption during printing. Fully aligns with the brand’s sustainable production philosophy, enabling true green manufacturing.
  • Large-format build volume — unlocking unlimited design possibilities for homeware
To meet the demands of large-scale, integrated furniture components, the system features an oversized print area, eliminating the need for part splitting and assembly. Complete furniture components can be printed in one go, ensuring structural integrity and design wholeness — without creative constraints.
  • Efficient and stable production — balancing quality and throughput
Equipped with a high-precision extrusion system, the printer delivers clog-free, consistent material flow even with recycled feedstocks. The resulting furniture pieces feature fine surface textures, high load-bearing capacity, and excellent durability. Production speed is significantly increased, lead times shortened, and small-batch, customized eco-friendly homeware becomes effortlessly achievable.

Turning waste into homeware, technology reinvents eco-aesthetics.

This collaboration marks not only the successful realization of a design brand’s sustainability vision but also another real-world achievement for IEMAI in the fields of eco-friendly regeneration and furniture manufacturing.

We firmly believe that the purpose of technology is to build a better world — and the value of 3D printing lies in driving sustainability forward.

Moving forward, IEMAI will continue to deepen its pellet 3D printing technology, continuously optimizing equipment performance and expanding applications. We aim to empower more eco-conscious brands, design teams, and manufacturers to achieve green production and bring creative ideas to life — using technology to regenerate waste resources and co-create a sustainable, efficient, and innovative manufacturing ecosystem.
