The crystallinity and, thus, the mechanical properties of PEEK can be affected by the processing conditions used to shape it. Tensile strength ranges from 90 to 100 MPa, while the Young&#8217;s modulus is 3.6 GPa. It has a high level of resistance to aqueous and organic conditions, as well as thermal deterioration. At high temperatures, halogens, strong acids, certain halogenated chemicals, and aliphatic hydrocarbons all attack it. At normal temperature, it totally dissolves in strong sulfuric acid.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Bearings, piston components, pumps, HPLC columns, compressor plate valves, and cable insulation are just a few of the durable products made from PEEK that are utilized in demanding applications. One of the few plastics that can be used in situations requiring an extremely high vacuum.
