In the XZ orientation, ULTEM 1010 has a tensile strength value of 9,300 psi while ULTEM 9085 has a rating of only 6,800 psi.<\/li><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:list -->\n<ul><li><strong>Toughness &amp; Flexibility<\/strong><br>Panels, tools, jigs, fittings, and clips are a few examples of applications that can need some regulated flexibility. ULTEM 9085 is the ideal material to use when a strong, resilient material with some ductility is required. When it&#8217;s required for your design, its lower flexural strength of 16,200 psi makes it slightly more forgiving than ULTEM 1010.<\/li><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:list -->\n<ul><li><strong>Chemical Resistance<\/strong><br>While both materials have the potential to withstand chemicals, ULTEM 1010 is the better option because it can withstand a wider range of substances.<\/li><\/ul>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:list -->\n<ul><li><strong>Thermal Expansion<\/strong><br>In comparison to ULTEM 9085, ULTEM 1010 has a lower thermal expansion value. A material with the lowest coefficient of thermal expansion, for instance, is required for tooling applications, while still taking into account dimensional stability over a wide temperature range.
